You’ve been to the Glendale Pub and more than likely had the “Mom’s Medicine” or the Open Faced Turkey Dinner with “Mom’s Gravy”. The woman behind those recipes is Kim Thomas. Kim, 48, is the Mother-In-Law of Josh Green and Aunt to Eric Wellman, owners of the Glendale Pub.
Kim was recently diagnosed with Stage Four Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer and given three to six months to live at first. Kim has been undergoing radiation treatment through the University of Cincinnati Hospital and Health Alliance Systems and is in the process of transitioning to Hospice care. The Oncology Team is doing all they can to minimize her pain. Insurance will not pick up ALL of the expenses including household bills and funeral expenses.
Saturday, September 22, 2007 the Glendale Pub will be hosting a fundraising benefit for Kim Thomas to help pay these expenses. After expense, any additional proceeds will be donated to the Young Professional’s American Cancer Society.
